FALL TOURNAMENT RULES

NOTE: Please read rules thoroughly. Tournament brackets posted at bottom of this page.

Rules governing tournament play will be ASA rules except where superseded by the FAS Handbook of Guidelines and Procedures and Playing Rules.  Please refer to rules 74 through 82 which directly pertain to tournaments. In addition, the following rules will be in effect:

1) A coin toss determines home team except as noted in rule 75.
2) Teams are responsible for bringing their FAS approved roster to all games, as roster checks will be done for all teams throughout the day.
3) FAS will be providing game softballs; only FAS provided softballs are permitted for use during any game.
4) There will be no time limits on the championship and ‘if’ games of the tournament. These games will be played a full 7 innings except when the FAS slaughter rule applies.
5) The FAS one-pitch extra inning rule is NOT in effect for the championship and ‘if’ games of the tournament.

6)  Home Run Rules:

COMPETITIVE: Four (4) home runs allowed; any home run in excess of 4 will be a dead-ball out

RECREATIONAL:  Any home run is an inning-ending out

NOTE: Teams may only use their current 2010 FAS approved rostered players AND up to three pickup players may be added PROVIDED appropriate roster change forms are filed and approved by FAS prior to the first pitch of your first game of the tournament.

THROUGHOUT TOURNAMENT PLAY, ALL TEAMS WILL BE REQUIRED TO VERIFY THEIR PLAYERS WITH ONLY AN ORIGINAL DMV, MILITARY, OR PASSPORT PHOTO ID & THEIR APPROVED FAS ROSTER. Teams using non-rostered players during an FAS tournament will be subject to penalties outlined in the FAS Rule Book.  DO NOT PUT ANY PLAYER INTO YOUR LINEUP UNLESS THEY HAVE ONE OF THE 3 ID’S REQUIRED ON THEIR PERSON.
